Job Summary
Serving as a key resource for clinicians in their coding and documentation education, the full-time remote Certified Coding Liaison will provide proactive education, feedback, and issue resolution while collaborating with various healthcare leaders to enhance documentation accuracy and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver proactive coding education and individualized documentation feedback to employed Physicians and APPs
- Act as the primary contact for coding inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to resolve complex coding issues
- Monitor Epic work queues to ensure timely and accurate charge submissions, reducing claim denials
Required qualifications
- Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC from recognized organizations
- Completion of advanced training equivalent to post-secondary education
- Typically requires 4 years of experience in expert-level professional coding
- In-depth knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
