Job Summary
To support vascular services, the full-time remote Certified Coding Liaison - Vascular will deliver proactive coding education, lead onboarding and compliance training for clinicians, and provide individualized documentation feedback to ensure accurate coding practices.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver proactive coding education through newsletters, presentations, and scorecards covering coding guidelines and payer requirements
- Lead onboarding and compliance training for employed physicians and advanced practice providers, ensuring documentation accuracy
- Serve as the primary contact for coding inquiries and monitor Epic work queues to ensure timely charge submissions and reduce claim denials
Required qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Coding Specialist (CCS), Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P), or Professional Coder (CPC)
- Completion of advanced training through a recognized or accredited program equivalent to post-secondary education
- A high school diploma or GED
- Typically requires 4 years of experience in expert-level professional coding
- Additional specialty credential preferred
