Job Summary

Leading coding operations for a large integrated healthcare system, the full-time Manager of Coding will oversee inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing coding while collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance and operational efficiency in a remote-eligible position.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee coding operations across multiple care settings to ensure accurate reimbursement and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity, Clinical Documentation Improvement, Finance, and Hospital Operations leaders to enhance coding quality and operational performance
• Develop and implement workforce development initiatives, including a Coding Trainee Program, to build a high-performing coding team

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field
• Minimum five years of coding leadership or management experience
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT coding, reimbursement methodologies, and regulatory requirements
• Professional coding certification required
• Experience leading multi-facility hospital coding operations preferred
