Certified Coding Manager

Job Summary

Leading the Coding Quality Review team, the full-time remote Certified Coding Manager will oversee coding audits, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage educational initiatives for ambulatory coding teams while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the CQR audit/education team to ensure timely completion of quality reviews and address coding education needs
• Oversee the audit appeal process and ensure accuracy in coding reviews while meeting Key Performance Indicators
• Develop and implement policies and procedures, coordinating with leadership to ensure compliance with federal and local regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience is required; Master's degree preferred
• Five years of hospital-based coding or professional fee coding experience is required
• Two years of leadership experience is required
• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential is required
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization is required
