Certified Coding Manager

Job Summary

To ensure coding accuracy and maximum reimbursement, the full-time Certified Coding Manager will oversee the hospital billing coding department, manage staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the hospital billing coding department, including medical record documentation, coding audits, and reporting
• Oversee staff development, performance evaluations, and compliance with coding procedures and regulations
• Collaborate on system enhancements and maintain operational policies related to coding workflows and compliance standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, Health Information Management, or Health Information Technology
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) preferred
• Three years of healthcare management experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical record technology
• Experience with Epic Physician Billing Coding functionality and related systems
