Certified Coding Operations Manager

Job Summary

Managing coding operations within professional billing, the full-time Manager, Physician Coding Operations will ensure accurate code assignment, regulatory compliance, and effective revenue cycle performance while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provides leadership and oversight for assigned coding operations, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and organizational coding standards
• Manages staff performance and development, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to uphold coding quality and productivity
• Monitors operational workflows and productivity metrics to ensure timely completion of coding-related activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in health information management, medical coding, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in medical coding operations
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist - Physician), or equivalent nationally recognized coding certification required
• Advanced knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Understanding of professional billing coding guidelines and healthcare revenue cycle processes
