Job Summary
Leading a high-performing team remotely, the full-time Certified Coding QA Manager will drive coding accuracy, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure audit readiness by evaluating documentation from internal and external partners.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of QA Specialists, establishing goals and monitoring productivity
- Oversee comprehensive quality assurance reviews for coding, ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM guidelines
- Design and implement standard operating procedures and audit workflows to maintain coding quality standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in health care management, nursing, or a related field, or an Associate Degree with relevant experience
- Minimum of 4 years of HCC coding experience, with 2 years in coding quality assurance or auditing
- Active professional credentials from AAPC and/or AHIMA (e.g., CRC, CCS, CPC, or CPMA)
- Deep mastery of ICD-10-CM coding and CMS Risk Adjustment guidelines
