Certified Coding Quality Auditor

Job Summary

To support the quality of clinical documentation and coding, the full-time Certified Coding Quality Auditor will work remotely, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and collaborating with clinical teams to enhance documentation practices and quality metrics.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborates with the clinical documentation team to identify documentation improvement opportunities in inpatient accounts
• Assesses various components of documentation that impact quality metrics and ensures compliance with coding practices
• Develops educational strategies and teaching tools to promote quality outcomes and secure interdepartmental support

Required qualifications:

• RHIT, RHIA, or CCS Certification
• Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist
• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or an Associate's degree with five or more years of healthcare coding experience
• Clinical expertise gained through experience with clinical documentation teams
• Strong personal computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
