Job Summary
To support the quality of clinical documentation and coding, the full-time Certified Coding Quality Auditor will work remotely, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and collaborating with clinical teams to enhance documentation practices and quality metrics.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the clinical documentation team to identify documentation improvement opportunities in inpatient accounts
- Assesses various components of documentation that impact quality metrics and ensures compliance with coding practices
- Develops educational strategies and teaching tools to promote quality outcomes and secure interdepartmental support
Required qualifications:
- RHIT, RHIA, or CCS Certification
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or an Associate's degree with five or more years of healthcare coding experience
- Clinical expertise gained through experience with clinical documentation teams
- Strong personal computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
