Certified Coding Quality Specialist
Job Summary
Supporting PM&R Musculoskeletal services, the fully remote Certified Coding Quality Specialist will conduct detailed coding quality reviews, validate coding accuracy, and facilitate provider education to enhance documentation integrity and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed coding quality reviews and audits for PM&R Musculoskeletal services
- Review and validate Evaluation & Management (E/M) services and complex procedural documentation
- Identify documentation inconsistencies and facilitate communication for provider clarification
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical coding experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and medical necessity requirements
- Experience in PM&R coding preferred
