Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage charge review and coding-related claim edit work queues for timely and accurate charge capture
• Review medical record documentation and accurately assign CPT and ICD10 codes
• Consult with physicians/providers on documentation clarity and provide education for improvement

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of coding experience and certification required
• Appropriate Coding Credential: CCS for Inpatient and CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H for Outpatient
• RHIA or RHIT certification preferred
• Knowledge of CMS rules and regulations preferred
