Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately code diagnoses based on documented information to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
• Conduct audits of medical records and provide ongoing education to improve documentation practices

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 2+ years of recent outpatient medical coding experience
• Possession of coding credentials such as CPC, CRC, or CCS
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, Category II, and CPT coding
• Familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines
