Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist, Per Diem.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical record documentation and coding to ensure accurate reimbursement and compliance with legal standards
• Interpret medical information to assign and sequence ICD-10-CM and CPT codes accurately
• Provide technical guidance to staff on resolving documentation issues and auditing clinical documentation for accuracy

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Certified Professional Coder - American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferred
• 0-1 year of medical coding experience preferred
• Proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers for coding
• Experience with computer applications and data entry skills
