Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding and Billing Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical record documentation and coding to optimize reimbursement
• Review and audit medical records for correct coding across multiple providers
• Monitor claim rejection queue and resolve issues as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar coding certification
• 0-3 years of experience in medical coding/reimbursement, preferably in dermatology
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding guidelines
• Experience with Mod Med/EMA practice management system preferred
