Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Services Coding Specialist II - Remote Radiology.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-9, CPT-4 & HCPC codes from medical documentation and apply appropriate modifiers
• Support the denial process and uphold productivity standards set by coding leaders
• Mentor new employees and maintain a coding quality accuracy rate of 95.5%

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma/GED with vocational or technical education beyond high school
• Minimum of 3 years coding experience in relevant specialty
• AHIMA Credentials or AAPC certification required; AAPC Specialty certifications preferred
• Knowledge of third-party reimbursement regulations and billing practices
• Moderate knowledge of CCI edits and LCDs
