Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist responsible for coding complex interventional radiology procedures and E&M services.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately assign codes to medical procedures
• Correctly assign and sequence codes per coding guidelines and insurance regulations
• Identify and correct coding errors and notify the Coding Manager of feedback

Required Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
• 2 years previous radiology coding experience
• One of the following coding certifications is required: CPC, RCC, or CCS
• Requires medical terminology experience or education
• At least 2 years' experience in coding or medical records using ICD and CPT coding systems
