Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Provider Coding Specialist to analyze and assign medical codes for surgical patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Review and resolve coding errors, denials, and ensure clean claim submissions
• Provide education and feedback to clinical staff regarding coding best practices

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 2+ years of abstract coding for physician services required
• Minimum of four years of healthcare experience with three years in professional coding for Orthopedics or OB/GYN required
• Licensure or certification from AHIMA required (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS)
• Experience working remotely preferred
