Job Summary

A company is looking for a Prebilling Coding Specialist in the Revenue Cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and correct patient accounts based on the 3M OCE/EAPG report
• Combine accounts according to payer requirements and review clinical data for accuracy
• Maintain knowledge of coding systems and participate in ongoing education to uphold certification

Required Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Coding Specialist-Physician based (CCS-P) credential
• Completion of a coding certificate program or significant coding experience
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with relevant degrees
• 3-5 years of recent acute care hospital outpatient coding experience
• Experience with the 3M OCE report or charge capture in complex departments
