Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding & RCM Specialist to support accurate coding and claims submission in a complex Medicaid and managed-care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own CPT/ICD-10 coding and strategy across psychiatry and medication management, focusing on high-acuity patient populations
• Perform pre-bill and post-pay audits and review clinical documentation to ensure clean claim submission
• Collaborate with billing team members to resolve claim issues and ensure compliance with coding standards

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification
• 3-5 years of professional experience in medical coding and billing, preferably in behavioral health
• Advanced proficiency with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and healthcare compliance guidelines
• Experience with EHR systems and medical billing software
