Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Liaison- Outpatient.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and implement hospital coding services to ensure accurate assignment of diagnostic and procedure codes
• Collaborate with the Revenue Management Team to review patient records for accurate coding and reimbursement
• Maintain coding quality standards and assist in the education of stakeholders on coding practices

Required Qualifications

• Completion of a coding certificate program or an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
• Thorough understanding of official coding guidelines from AMA, AHA, and CMS
• National certification such as CPC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT
• Four years of relevant hospital inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience
