Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an OP Surgery Facility Coding Specialist to provide coding services for outpatient surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Code outpatient same day surgical CPT procedures and apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes
• Interpret coding guidelines and ensure compliance with ethical standards and internal policies
• Participate in training and maintain coding credentials while ensuring a high accuracy rate

Required Qualifications

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience
• Proficient in using EMR and billing systems
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
