Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Provider Coding Specialist responsible for coding and analyzing medical records for surgical patient accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Resolve coding edits, denials, and ensure accurate reimbursement for services rendered
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to clarify documentation and provide coding education

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• 2+ years of abstract coding experience for physician services required
• Minimum of four years of healthcare experience, with at least three years in professional coding for Orthopedics or OB/GYN required
• Experience working remotely preferred
• Relevant coding certification from AHIMA required
