Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Liaison.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate coding through chart reviews and problem account resolution
• Maintain high coding quality standards by assigning correct codes and providing coding education
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to identify trends and formulate recommendations for process improvement

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or completion of a coding certificate program
• Thorough knowledge of official coding guidelines per AMA, AHA, and CMS
• Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and medical terminology
• One of the following certifications: CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC, or COC
• Seven years of relevant hospital inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience required
