Job Summary
Reviewing hospital medical records for Ambulatory Surgery patients, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist will assign relevant diagnoses and procedure codes according to ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines while collaborating with outpatient coders in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assign diagnoses and procedure codes for various surgical specialties based on detailed medical records
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards to provide exceptional coding services
- Collaborate with coders and managers to address client needs effectively
Required qualifications
- Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC coding credentials
- 3 or more years of relevant facility coding experience
- Access to reliable high-speed internet and a workstation
- Epic experience is a plus
- Candidates must reside within the United States
