Job Summary
Dedicated to ensuring accurate coding practices, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist - Anesthesia will be responsible for coding professional and hospital charges, providing educational feedback to providers, and managing claim follow-ups in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately code professional and hospital charges from electronic medical records for compliant claim submissions
- Provide educational feedback to providers based on audited batches to ensure adherence to coding and billing requirements
- Communicate daily progress and any issues related to coding to the Supervisor and Manager
Required qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Five years of experience in professional billing and coding
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) certification required
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a car for training purposes
