Certified Coding Specialist (CPC/CCS)

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Certified Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee medical records using appropriate coding systems
• Analyze coding denials, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with client teams to resolve issues
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and participate in audits and training initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) from AAPC, or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC) from AHIMA
• 0-5+ years of experience in E&M specialty coding, with a preference for 3 years
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT coding
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office applications
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
