Certified Coding Specialist (CPC/CCS)

Job Summary

Certified Coding Specialist (CPC/CCS), this full-time remote position involves coding medical records for inpatient and outpatient services, reviewing payer denials, and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and code inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee medical records accurately
• Analyze coding denials and collaborate with teams to resolve documentation and coding issues
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and participate in audits and training initiatives

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) from AAPC, or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) from AHIMA
• 0-5+ years of experience in E&M inpatient and/or outpatient coding and reimbursement
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT coding
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
• Commitment to obtain necessary certifications if not already held
