Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist I in Hospitalist Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine medical records to assign proper ICD and CPT codes
• Utilize coding tools to verify the correctness of assigned codes
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity rates while participating in ongoing education

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One or more coding credentials required prior to hire (e.g., CCS, CPC-A, RHIT, RHIA, CCS-P)
• Knowledge of ICD and CPT coding
• Familiarity with payor guidelines and coding regulations
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
