Certified Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Supervisor to coordinate and supervise the overall function of the Coding staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Coding staff and ensure compliance with coding standards
• Collaborate with other departments to improve coding quality, documentation practices, and training
• Oversee coding training and education, including ICD diagnosis, procedure, and HCPCS coding

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in a health services discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Minimum 3 years of progressive coding or coding review experience in a healthcare system or related field
• One of the following certifications is required: CPC-A, COC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
• Preferred certifications include ICD10 certification from AHIMA or AAPC
