Certified Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Supervisor to lead and coordinate the medical coding team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of professional coders, ensuring timely coding and billing processes
• Ensure accurate coding assignments and compliance with guidelines and regulations
• Conduct internal audits and provide ongoing education based on audit findings

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Active certification from AHIMA or AAPC required
• Minimum 5 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting
• At least 2 years of supervisory, lead, or auditing experience
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and encoder systems
