Certified Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Overseeing all functions within the Health Information Management's coding team, the full-time remote Certified Coding Supervisor will provide technical leadership, monitor departmental efficiencies, and ensure compliance with coding regulations while supervising staff and implementing improvement plans.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of the coding staff, ensuring accurate and timely workload assignment and performance assessment
• Ensure compliance with CMS rules and maintain department statistics on work volume, productivity, and accuracy
• Conduct performance reviews, participate in employee development, and promote a cohesive team environment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience (preferred)
• Five years of medical coding experience (required)
• AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist Credential (CCS) (required)
• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) (required)
