Job Summary
Providing operational oversight for coding data quality and education initiatives, the full-time remote Certified Coding Supervisor will manage coder onboarding, monitor coding accuracy, and support compliance and performance improvements within Health Information Management Services.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise coding data accuracy and coder education functions across inpatient and outpatient coding activities
- Monitor coding accuracy, productivity, staffing levels, and workload distribution to meet departmental performance goals
- Coordinate training and orientation for new coders and assist with ongoing education based on performance metrics and feedback
Required qualifications
- Associate degree in Health Information Management or a healthcare-related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
- One to two years of leadership experience required
- Five years of coding education experience in an acute care healthcare environment required
- AHIMA: CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred
- Demonstrated competence in all inpatient and outpatient general record types required
