Certified Coding Supervisor

Job Summary

Overseeing a team of medical coders, the full-time remote Certified Coding Supervisor will ensure accurate coding of medical records, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and streamline coding workflows for Critical Access Hospitals and Rural Health Clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of coders, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient performance
• Review and audit coded data for accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
• Resolve coding-related issues by collaborating with various departments to clarify diagnoses and billing codes

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Certification as CPC, CCA, CCS, CIC, or COC
• 7+ years of medical coding experience
• Previous medical office experience preferred
• Extensive knowledge of coding regulations and relevant software applications
