Certified Coding Team Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Team Lead, Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the coding team and participate in daily coding tasks
• Interface with clients and internal Revenue Cycle teams to assist with requests and manage client relationships
• Review and analyze medical billing and coding for accuracy and compliance

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school graduate or GED certification
• Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC, RHIT, CCS, etc.)
• Successful completion of formal education in ICD-9-CM/ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology, and anatomy/physiology
• 5 years of outpatient surgical coding experience and 1 year of team lead experience
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care coding experience across all patient types
