Certified Coding Team Lead

Job Summary

Supervising a team of Coding Validation analysts, the full-time Certified Coding Team Lead will manage queue distribution, optimize performance, and ensure quality audits of client data while adhering to productivity standards and client guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee onshore/offshore teams in reviewing claims and producing appeals that meet integrity and metric standards
• Coordinate team performance, including training, development, and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
• Ensure compliance with operational controls and timely responses to client requirements while monitoring staff productivity

Required qualifications

• Coding certificate required (e.g., CCDS, CPC, CIC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT)
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related health or informatics field preferred
• 3 to 5+ years of experience with healthcare claims payment policy and coding guidelines
• Prior management or supervisory experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and system databases
