Certified Coding Trainer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Trainer II - Coding Training Education.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare curricula, plan assignments, design assessments, and evaluate progress in coding for surgical settings
• Participate in the creation and implementation of training programs and onboarding training
• Provide course material and address ad hoc questions related to coding

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, HIM, or a related business field preferred
• Certification in one or more areas such as CPC, COC, CPMA, CHC, CPCO, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, or CIC required
• Three years of experience in surgery-based coding and/or inpatient coding required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of coding practices, CMS regulations, and EMR experience preferred
