Certified Coding Trainer

Job Summary

To enhance coding knowledge in healthcare settings, the part-time Certified Coding Trainer will prepare curricula, design assessments, and provide training resources while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement training programs for coding in provider and hospital-based office settings
• Design assessments and evaluate the progress of trainees
• Serve as a resource for coding-related inquiries and support ad hoc training requests

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, HIM, or a related business field preferred
• Certification in one or more coding areas (CPC, COC, CPMA, CHC, CPCO, CCS-P, RHIA, RHIT, or CIC) required
• Three years of healthcare and/or outpatient-based coding experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
• Knowledge of hospital billing practices and CMS regulations preferred
