Certified Compliance Auditor

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with regulatory standards, the full-time Certified Compliance Auditor will conduct risk-based audits of clinical documentation, coding, and billing records while working remotely, validating documentation accuracy and supporting internal audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform risk-based audits of clinical documentation and billing records to ensure compliance with regulations
• Evaluate coding accuracy and medical necessity, identifying compliance risks and trends
• Prepare audit reports summarizing findings and collaborate with stakeholders to address compliance objectives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or related field
• 3 years of experience in coding or regulatory compliance auditing in a healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and payer regulations related to documentation and coding
• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent upon hire
• Experience with electronic health record systems, preferably Epic
