Job Summary

A company is looking for a Denial Coding Specialist to support their Revenue Cycle team in managing coding-related denials.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee denial review and appeal management, making preliminary determinations on coding denials
• Research and prepare appeal files, ensuring all necessary documentation is included
• Analyze coding denials to identify root causes and work towards effective resolutions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of medical coding experience
• Strong knowledge of managed care, payer structures, and government programs
• Solid understanding of National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) guidelines
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience of at least 7 years
• Certification as a CPC, COC, or CIC is required
