Job Summary
To support a leading radiology practice, the full-time Certified DR Coding Specialist will code professional components for diagnostic imaging modalities, provide education to team members and vendors, and serve as a liaison for documentation improvement while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Code professional components for all diagnostic imaging modalities in the Radiology Department
- Provide feedback and training on clinical documentation to teammates, vendors, and occasionally providers
- Engage with providers and departments to clarify documentation and coding for radiological procedures
Required qualifications
- Certification through AHIMA (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC)
- 2+ years of coding and abstracting experience with CPT and ICD-10 preferred
- Experience coding diagnostic radiology
- Ability to organize, prioritize work, and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in interacting and communicating effectively with Radiology staff
