Certified DRG Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a DRG Integrity Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform secondary level reviews of medical records and code assignments to ensure accurate DRG assignment
• Utilize Accuity technology for tracking coding errors and data collection
• Interact with physicians and management to provide recommendations for process improvement and ensure compliance

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Health Information Management preferred
• Minimum 4 years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital facility
• At least 2 years of experience related to specified duties
• Coding credential required from AHIMA/AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC)
• Knowledge of DRG reimbursement methodologies
