Certified ED Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an ED Coder (Coding Specialist III).

Key Responsibilities

• Coding complex specialty surgical procedures and other highly specialized services with 95% accuracy
• Reviewing clinical documentation and ensuring compliance with Medicare/Medicaid billing regulations
• Providing technical expertise on third-party payer and reimbursement issues while mentoring peer coders

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of professional or hospital coding experience
• Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIA, RHIT)
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT coding, and federal/state billing laws
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
