Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder ER to review medical records and perform coding for diagnoses and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract, code, sequence, and interpret clinical information from various medical records
• Assign correct principal and secondary diagnoses and procedure codes while ensuring accurate sequencing
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and track productivity levels as defined by the client

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of an AAPC or AHIMA-approved Coding Certificate Program
• A minimum of two to four years of current production coding experience in acute care
• Must possess relevant certificates such as CPC, COC, CIC, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, and/or CCS-P
• Experience with ED facility coding is preferred
• Knowledge of coding conventions and rules established by relevant organizations
