Job Summary
To advance the genetic counseling program, the full-time Certified Genetic Counselor will oversee best practices, provide expert consultations for newborn screening data interpretation, and lead training and collaboration initiatives in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the genetic counseling program, ensuring integration of best practices and innovations
- Serve as a Newborn Screening Specialist, providing technical expertise for data evaluation and clinical interpretation
- Develop training resources and collaboration initiatives to enhance newborn screening workforce capabilities
Required qualifications
- Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) certification from the American Board of Genetics Counseling (ABGC)
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain required customer clearance for access to systems and facilities
