Certified Health Information Manager
Job Summary
To support the health information management needs of same-day surgery, the full-time Certified Health Information Manager will code and abstract medical records for day surgery and outpatient records while working remotely from eligible states.
Key responsibilities:
- Code and abstract medical records for day surgery and outpatient cases following established guidelines
- Assist with coding and leveling emergency room cases as needed
- Maintain up-to-date work on coding and charging for infusion cases as required
Required qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in health information management
- Associate's Degree required
- Certification as CCS, COC, RHIA, or RHIT is required
- RHIT or RHIA is preferred
