Certified Health Translator

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote Certified Health Translator will provide expert-level written translations, editing, and proofreading from English into their native language, with a focus on health and human services, on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide purely human written translations using a Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tool, ensuring adherence to project instructions and glossaries
• Perform language quality checks to ensure accuracy and cultural appropriateness of translations before delivery
• Communicate professionally with team members and participate in quality management processes, including corrective actions and root cause analyses

Required qualifications

• Current certification from the American Translators Association (ATA) or DSHS LTC, or an academic degree with a formal translation certificate and two years of professional experience
• Fluency in English and the target language
• Experience using modern CAT tools, specifically XTM
• Proficiency in working with PC and MAC formats, including MS Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Must be 18 years or older and agree to adhere to Prisma's Master Service Agreement and related policies
