Certified HIM Technician

Job Summary

A company is looking for a HIM Tech II, Certified.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, analyze, and ensure completeness of medical records within required time frames
• Respond to requests for medical information in accordance with departmental and hospital guidelines
• Coordinate the completion of patient medical records and address any missing information

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited Health Information Technology/Health Information Management program
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Current certification or eligibility for the national exam for RHIT or RHIA by AHIMA
• Certification must be obtained within six months from the date of hire if eligible
