Certified Home Health Coder

Job Summary

Working remotely on a per diem basis, the Certified Home Health Coder will review clinical documentation, assign ICD-10 codes, and assess OASIS items for accuracy while maintaining client communication and education on coding trends.

Key responsibilities:

• Timely and accurately review patient charts, including home health and hospice coding
• Communicate with clients to educate them on coding and OASIS guidelines
• Stay updated on ICD-10 coding and OASIS guidelines through ongoing education

Required qualifications:

• Certification in Home Health Coding required
• Certification in OASIS required
• Minimum of 5 years recent Home Health coding and OASIS operational and/or quality experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and compliance guidelines
