Certified Home Health Coding Reviewer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a per diem basis, the Certified Home Health Coding Reviewer will accurately review clinical documentation, assign ICD-10 codes, and evaluate OASIS assessment items while maintaining ongoing communication with clients and staying updated on coding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Timely and accurately review patient charts for home health and hospice coding and OASIS assessments
• Educate clients on trends found in the review process related to coding and OASIS guidelines
• Participate in client meetings to ensure satisfaction and maintain professional knowledge through continuing education

Required qualifications

• Certification in Home Health Coding required
• Certification in OASIS required
• Minimum of 5 years recent experience in Home Health coding and OASIS operations or quality
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and compliance guidelines
