Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coder I - Hospital Coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation and code diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT4 coding conventions
• Ensure specificity of diagnoses and procedures for optimal reimbursement and compliance
• Abstract information from medical records and identify problem documents for correction

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited coding program or equivalent education and experience
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in abstracting and coding
• Certification required within 1 year (e.g., Certified Professional Coder - Apprentice, Registered Health Information Administrator)
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding systems
• Proficiency in MS Office
