Job Summary

A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Specialist III.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze clinical documentation to assign diagnosis and procedure codes accurately for Same Day Surgery and Outpatient Observation
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
• Maintain coding accuracy and productivity standards while participating in quality assurance studies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree, or completion of a coding certificate program
• Computer literacy and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Must maintain a relevant coding certification (e.g., CCS, CPC, CCA, COC)
• Minimum of 2 years of previous hospital coding experience required
• Demonstrated knowledge of coding complex outpatient surgical procedures
